My story

Started to play classical guitar around 12 years old, with the ambition to be a bass player. Learned some acoustic technics for two years, and then had a year or two without any lessons. By the age of 15 bought an electrical guitar. Also started to play some acoustic guitar again, and actually joined my first band, jackdaw together with my (now) oldest friend Hans Pettersson . Later that band converted into the band madcaps by the early 90's. Madcaps lasted until we graduated from high school.

A couple of years went by completly without a band... Until Fredrik Gussander and I became good friends at the university of Stockholm. Together we bought a buch of drums to see if we could start a band. That drum kit would become an essential part of my campus appartment.

Plenty of months went on without any other band members except for the two of us. The name of our band actually come from a madcaps song lostlight written by Niklas Nordling and Mårten Stenmark.

Since none of us were capable of playing drums we had to find a drummer, so we met Erik Hedlund (also at the university) and he played with us a couple of years. By that time also Hans Pettersson joined the band on bass since he moved to Stockholm for work.

Parallel to the lostlight rehearsals I got this opportunity by a colleague: "I have an offer you can't refuse: join me in a girl-band, that plays some covers". We both knew I couldn't resist that. The girl-band was called crazydolls. Helena Högberg played drums for the crazydolls, and soon we became friends.

Finally we got Magnus Gussander to drum for us on lostlight then we recorded the songs Thank you, Brand new world, Fading, Again, again and again, and Together, then Fredrik Gussander went to Singapore for two years. By that time we decided to continue playing music as a cover project called "lost in covers".

Accidentally Helena Högberg and I talked about the fact that we are looking for a singer. Of course she joined us. When Fredrik Gussander was back to Sweden we re-opened lostlight as a band and started to write some new songs.
